I don't understand all the posturing over the late night raid when the man was caught taking $100,000 in bribes.
Sort of like a man who catches his cheating spouse in the act and all she can say is "I can't believe you didn't knock!"

Maybe if Jefferson had turned over his papers last November, there would not have been a raid. Of course that would have left him a lot less time to cover his tracks and pose self-righteous indignation.
