Snakes on a Plane

Fantastic. It was the exact movie that it should have been. Hilarious.

Have you seen it?

Best rental I've watched in a long time: Brick. Film noir set in high school. Skillfully done, different, and highly enjoyable.

What's the best DVD you've rented or purchased lately?

My, aren't we up late for a person in your "delicate" condition. :)

Best obscure movies I've seen lately:
The Match - A great little Scottish film complete with football, pubs and ridiculous rivalries.

A Man's Gotta Do - An Australian film, almost beyond description, but brilliant. As a reviewer says, it's somthing like "an Australian "Arrested Development"-like wacky suburban family crossed with "The Sopranos".

BTW, while you were at SoaP, Greg and I were enjoying Second City at the WAC. They were great, although we didn't notice any M****rf****n snakes on the M****rf****n stage.

"A Good Woman", based on an Oscar Wilde play -- An American serial gold digger (Helen Hunt) goes to Italy for fresh prospects. Soon, the local folks are buzzing about her assumed liaison with a newlywed American financier whose wife (Scarlett Johansson) has an old connection -- unknown to her -- with the "other woman". A great plot twist, beautiful period settings and two of my favorite actresses.
And then there's one on which I posted about a month ago.

I've gotta say Madea's Family Reunion. Tyler Perry's stuff is just fabulous. It makes you laugh and makes you cry almost in the same breath.

Snakes on a plan rocked - I actualy screamed out loud at one point, but that's just because some freaking huge snake pretty much jumped out of the screen and on to my lap. I hate it when they do that!!

My husband and I watched "On a Clear Day" last night and it was really good - worth rentiing/buying.

Collateral, A Michael Mann film. Very good, very well done like Heat and Miami Vice.
