So It's McCain

Hmmmm. I'll suspend any judgment until he announces a running mate. Here are some good options.

One note on McCain: I'm tired of people saying he's old. In my opinion, seventy-one is not old for a man with no known chronic health conditions.

UPDATE: I decided that I should have been more clear. By writing, "suspend any judgement," I meant "decide whether I'll vote or stay at home." McCain is not my idea of a GOP candidate. I miss Romney. I miss Thompson. I miss Giuliani. Where have all the conservatives gone? No wait, I know the answer to that. The MSM ignores them. The MSM picked the GOP candidate. Constant fawning over McCain and Huckabee led to this outcome.

I've decided I can vote for McCain if he doesnt make a horrible VP choice. Huckabee being the worst I can think of.

Even if I don't vote for him because he makes a bad choice, I'll still vote for other candidates and races. Sitting home isnt an option IMO.

I miss Fred as well :( According to AP he just endorsed McCain.

A big "ditto" to Mark's observations. What I find sad is that so many people let the MSM be their guide. Not a good commentary on the American voter.

Not voting is not a good choice no matter how you slice it. I'm no McCain fan, but you have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Hillary/Obama are virtually identical in policy, and both completely leftist. Even McCain is better on just about everything than these two.

Me too. I felt like there were several good choices in the republican camp. Now I can't believe we ended up with the *worst two* contenders.

I'm not at all sure that McCain is a better choice than Hillary or Obama. Seems to me that's telling the republicans they can just keep getting softer and softer and it's OK. In the end, if we're facing high taxes, creeping socialization, and amnesty for illegals, I'll be damned if I'll vote a republican in to do it.

I was a Thompson supporter, but had to vote for Romney by the time the primary was held here in Arkansas.

While I detest the philosophies of Hillary and Obama, I'm still not sure that I can bring myself to vote for McCain.

I may have to write in Newt. Maybe he'll run in '12, if we're lucky.
