So Racist You'd Like to Pay for People of Other Races to Have Abortions?

Planned Parenthood would be happy to help you out.

Whoa.

ADDED: Planned Parenthood calls the handling of the call "a serious mistake." Yeah, I'd call that a pretty serious mistake. Of course, if Planned Parenthood thinks that abortion is just a choice, not the ending of a life, what's their qualm? If there isn't something wrong with abortion in the first place, what do they care if someone would like to offer them especially to certain groups of people?

"For whatever reason we'll accept the money."

I guess that about sums up planned parenthood in a nutshell.

I'm at a loss for words so please take my inarticulation into account. Again, I apologize to my point for not being remotely able to do it justice...

Rather than assuming that "the real you" is the heartless libertarian, I'll assume that the "real you" is the baby-lover who truly hurts for the many lost lives of aborted fetuses and who honest-to-her-heart wishes these younglings well.

so, my dear sweetheart... again, I'm at a loss for words, pardon me.... how can you promote, push and praise policies that cause such an awesome amount of human pain and death?

Do you not know of the suffering of the millions upon tens of millions who live lives of privation, stress, suffering, crime, imprisonment and eventual suicide on account of your belief that "to the winner goes all"? Again, I'm at a loss for words. You obviously don't see that you're a slave-driver of the worst sort who condemns some 20% of her fellow-citizens dreary lives and early deaths. I could explain it to you but it would take time and I doubt that my efforts would be worth the reward. I'll therefore just say that... well, what is there to say?

mnuez,

I think you have a misunderstanding of what libertarianism is. Libertarian-type policies, here I refer specifically to capitalism and liberal rights, have lifted more people out of misery and oppression than policies of any other kind. Libertarianism does not preclude charity--charity is essential in a moral society--libertarianism only takes charity out of the hands of bureaucratic government.

I think you may have libertarianism confused with Ayn Rand's Objectivism. I am not an Objectivist. I do not believe in a "winner takes all" approach to life and society.

Hope that clears things up. :)

Also, I should probably change my title banner. I think I've become more of a conservative than a libertarian.

Wow. Just wow. I knew that Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood upon eugenics-based ideas, but I'm just astounded that the organization hasn't trained its staff better in PC-speak, to at least pretend some discomfort with the notion of targeting abortions to a specific race. (I will grant that the one woman seemed more uncomfortable than the other, but still happily took the money.) However, as you say, "If there isn't something wrong with abortion in the first place, what do they care if someone would like to offer them especially to certain groups of people?" Margaret Sanger certainly did. Amazingly, these are the same people who would call themselves "progressive" and accuse conservatives of bigotry. The pro-life conservatives/libertarians I know would like to save all babies, not target the ones with specifically approved DNA.
