"... How does the John Q. Taxpayer Nature Center sound?"

I think it sounds great.

If they must name these places after people, they should only be able to use the names of people who are dead. Or if they must use the names of the living, how about a taxpayer selected at random with a subtitle like this: Tyler Presley Nature Center, Mr. Presley's payment of $56,784 in state taxes thus far in his life was enough to pay for the paving of the parking lot and the landscaping near the picnic area. That might give us a better sense of how much money our officials are confiscating from us.
