A Minor Disagreement

I have no problem with what Pawlenty said. In fact, I would have given exactly the same answer.

The crosshairs on the map aren't his style. So what? Not my style either. We need our politicians to be libertarian conservatives, not the GOP Borg. He's saying you don't have to like the style, but whether or not you do, it certainly didn't cause any violence.

I see no problem with that. The answer is "man enough" for me, and my bar for that is pretty high.

Wanted to drop in and say I really appreciate the level headed comments over at Althouse. You bring very insightful views and opinions to a bunch of us. Unfortunately, not to often on your own blog.

Your post here is the first I heard about Pawlenty weighing in, and really, I don't really care so far as him as individual. My own opinion though is similar. Cross-hairs and othre political rhetoric aren't my style either. At the same time, would using a red push pin symbol really make a difference? No. Because no one was influenced to violence by the crosshairs.

That brings me to why I clicked over to here. I agree with a comment you made that the last few days seems like the twilight zone. I've seen politician's do outrageous things, but a Sheriff? Maybe on a TV comedy show. Not only is no one demanding facts of the investigation from one of the principle fact finders. People are actually encouraging to use of populous opinion to direct the course of a criminal investigation. That's scary.
